FIFA Women World Cup 2015 in Canada

Every four years takes place the FIFA Women World Cup. This year, the competition is hosted by our beautiful country, Canada!

Soccer is a very popular sport all around the world and particularly in Europe, but mostly for men. Women’s soccer is more common in North America than in Europe, but the world’s cup is becoming more reputed for some years. It will begin the 6th of June with the opening ceremony and the first match will oppose Canada and China in Edmonton, and end the 5th of July with the finale in Vancouver.

The whole competition will take place in 6 different cities across Canada:

  • Common Wealth Stadium in Edmonton, Alberta
  • BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, British-Columbia
  • Investors Group Field in Winnipeg, Manitoba
  • TD Place Stadium in Ottawa, Ontario
  • Moncton Stadium in Moncton, New-Brunswick
  • Olympic Stadium in Montreal, Quebec

The 24 teams will encounter each other through the country during one month. If you are lucky enough to be in one of those cities in June, you can buy tickets online to watch the game.  Prices goes from 20$ to 100$ for the regular matches, from 35$ to 115$ for quarter-finals, from 40$ to 120$ for semifinal and from 60$ to 185$ for final.
