General Questions
Relocating is not simply a matter of finding a home and moving in. Everything should be carefully choreographed so that all the pieces fall into place at the appropriate time; the right house in the right area, the best school or childcare, and all the government regulations that have to be met. Visas, if necessary, will have to be organised, banking, mortgage, Medicare, social insurance, new driver’s licenses have to be arranged and all this whilst you try to find your bearings in a new city, perhaps country.
ARIANNE Relocation Canada has been successfully relocating families and businesses since 1997 — more than 28 years of experience across Canada.
ARIANNE delivers destination services in all major cities across Canada, including Montréal, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver, as well as in rural areas through our vast network of partners.
ARIANNE’s uniquely comprehensive relocation guides will assist you step-by-step through the relocation process, with advice and recommendations on everything from employment and childcare through to leisure activities and the grocery shopping! ARIANNE also offers tele-consultation and in-person services to answer any questions or problems you may have, from before your arrival to the moment you call your new destination city home.
ARIANNE was named after the myth of Ariadne and Theseus. In Greek mythology, Ariadne’s thread guided Theseus out of the labyrinth. The idea of basing our company name on a life-saving guide made a lot of sense! Founded in Montreal in 1997 as ARIANNE Relocation Specialists, the company is known today as ARIANNE Relocation Canada.
ARIANNE will help you pick up the pieces and to put you back on the right path. Your counsellor will consult with you to establish where adjustments in your situation need to be made and with our strong network of contacts we will do everything in our power to right the wrongs.
Costs depend on the services you need. Online city guides and tele-consultations start at modest fixed prices, while full destination-services packages (home search, school search, settling-in) are quoted based on family size and scope. Yes. A limited or non-existent Canadian credit history is one of the most common hurdles newcomers face, and it rarely stops a qualified tenant. Montreal landlords can be reassured with alternatives such as a few months’ rent paid in advance, a Canadian guarantor, an employer or relocation-company letter, proof of income or savings, and references from previous landlords abroad. As your destination services provider, ARIANNE helps you assemble a strong rental application, explains what Quebec landlords can and cannot ask for, and negotiates on your behalf so you can secure a home before you arrive.
