La communaut\u00e9 musulmane de Montr\u00e9al compte environ 100\u00a0000 personnes, ayant des liens tr\u00e8s forts avec cette ville, tant au niveau historique, politique, culturel et religieux.<\/p>\n

Le Centre Islamique du Qu\u00e9bec<\/a> offre divers services, des temps de pri\u00e8res, aux mariages en passant par les services fun\u00e9raires tandis que\u00a0le Conseil Musulman de Montr\u00e9al<\/a> tient inform\u00e9e la communaut\u00e9 musulmane des nouvelles r\u00e9centes et des \u00e9v\u00e8nements \u00e0 venir.<\/p>\n

Les universit\u00e9s Concordia et McGill disposent toutes deux d’une Association d’\u00e9tudiants Musulmans, qui s\u2019occupent non seulement de r\u00e9pondre aux besoins et aux int\u00e9r\u00eats des musulmans, mais \u00e9galement d’informer ceux qui d\u00e9sirent en savoir plus sur cette religion. Par ailleurs, cette association s\u2019implique activement dans le domaine politique de la communaut\u00e9 musulmane.<\/p>\n

On note une forte pr\u00e9sence de restaurants halal \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al, dispers\u00e9s dans toute la ville et donc accessibles facilement depuis chaque quartier. Les produits alimentaires non autoris\u00e9s par l\u2019Islam sont appel\u00e9s \u00ab\u00a0Haram\u00a0\u00bb, ce qui signifie en arabe \u00ab\u00a0interdit\u00a0\u00bb. Ceci inclut les animaux qui n\u2019ont pas \u00e9t\u00e9 abattus correctement, au nom d\u2019Allah, ou ceux qui \u00e9taient d\u00e9j\u00e0 morts, le sang, le porc, l\u2019alcool, parmi d\u2019autres.<\/p>\n
