It’s never easy for a new comer to find a house. I remember that when I moved here, I didn’t have a clue about the situation of real estate in Canada.
The first things you need to know when you want to find a house is to read the adverts. I know it may sound obvious, as in any other country in the world; real estate in Canada is a question of words. I explain myself: don’t judge a book by its cover!

When moving to Canada, one of your first preoccupations is going to be money!..And if you want to keep and save your money, you will need to open a bank account in Canada.
Whether you come from Europe, the USA, Africa or Asia; keeping your bank account in your country will soon become very costly. Indeed, if you want to avoid bank charges and other expensive fees, you will have to open a bank account in Canada as soon as you get all the needed papers.

No need to drink, dance and party until early morning to spend a good summer. Sometimes, with the heat and humidity, all we need is to sit down and relax.
But it’s a shame to sit down and relax at home when there are so many interesting things to do in Canada during the summer season. My proposition is a play (or two or three, depending on your receptivity).

When I want to buy something, I’m like a little kid: nothing can stop me; I want it, now, no matter what people tell me.
Of course, when the “thing” is a house, you have to be more careful. There are a few steps to follow before you buy the house you’re looking for.

When we move to a new country, there are many things we don’t think about; we think we start a new life; that everything is going to be better and tend to forget some small but important details.
When visiting a house, we all look at the place, and the space, think about new furniture, and were to put the sofa, if the metro station is not too far away and if the area is safe at night; but there’s one thing we should never forget : our allergies.

If you wish to spend time on a boat in the middle of the ocean, you can decide to arrive to Canada by boat. Travelling to Canada by boat is a very special experience that you will remember all your life, and it is also a good opportunity of bringing a lot of your personal belongings with you without having to ship them. Some companies even allow passengers to bring what the cabin can contain.
