Finding a place in Canada is not easy, well it’s not that hard but it can take time; until you find the PERFECT place, until you found a place that makes you feel at home. Once you have visited 127 different places and you are just tired with taking the metro and then the bus to realize that, the landlord forgot to show up...you are almost ready to move in your new place.

Tips to understand housing in Quebec

Housing in Quebec is a bit special. When I say “special” I don’t mean weird or abnormal but it has codes. Coming from Europe, I first had a hard time understanding all the vocabulary of housing in Quebec. Once you know the codes, it gets much easier and you can start looking for a house.

Houses and allergies

When we move to a new country, there are many things we don’t think about; we think we start a new life; that everything is going to be better and tend to forget some small but important details. When visiting a house, we all look at the place, and the space, think about new furniture, and were to put the sofa, if the metro station is not too far away and if the area is safe at night; but there’s one thing we should never forget : our allergies.
